Dr. Alami received her doctorate in Optometry from The State University of New York College of Optometry in 2005 and completed her residency in 2006.  


She was awarded the Billie M. Lyons Memorial Award for distinguished service to the community and has traveled to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Peru, India, Lebanon and Virginia to provide eye care services for underprivileged populations.

Professional Career











Dr. Alami now continues to expand the examination methods offered through The Center for Visual Management. She provides comprehensive, sensorimotor diagnostic and educational testing, as well as vision therapy. Her expertise in binocular vision and visual-spatial disorders provides her the ability to examine patients of all ages with reading and learning challenges, developmental and sensory integration delays, neurodevelopmental disorders and traumatic brain injuries.
